  • Jim Dreier - Executive Director

    Jim Dreier is the Director of Downtown Ministries. He earned his undergraduate degree in Organizational Management from Goshen College in 2000 and later completed his Master of Social Work at Indiana University in 2017.

    Jim’s extensive experience in leading recovery groups has fueled his passion for helping and empowering individuals from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. This commitment to social service drives his involvement in the Goshen community, where he actively builds relationships with local leaders and continues to enhance his ability to serve the city.

    Jim has been married to his wife, Joyce, since 1982, and they enjoy spending time with their six children and nine grandchildren.

  • Joyce Dreier - Administrative Assistant

    Joyce serves as the Administrative Assistant, providing crucial support with program attendance tracking, report generation, and metrics analysis. She also plays a key role in coordinating housing arrangements and event setup, ensuring smooth operations across various initiatives.

    Joyce is a Registered Nurse and Lactation Consultant at Goshen Hospital. She has been married to Jim for 42 years and has six children and 14 grandchildren.

  • Jared Yoder - Mentor Trainer

    The Great Commission to make disciples is central to our mission. We accomplish this by shepherding our community, offering guidance and support to individuals who feel called to build relationships that lead others to Christ. Jared trains and supports those who feel called to enter relationships with others in order to lead people to Christ and see lives transformed.

    He has been married to his wonderful wife Ruthie for over 50 years. They have 3 lovely daughters who are married and 8 grandchildren.

  • Ashlyn Halsey - Communication and Development

    Ashlyn serves as the Communications and Development Director, leading efforts to craft impactful messaging that enhances community engagement and program awareness. With a passion for web development, social media, and photography, she connects Downtown Ministries’ mission with the community, driving support for programs and events. Ashlyn manages social media platforms, website content, newsletters, and helps promote and implement special events to advance our mission.

    Ashlyn is a Senior at Trine University, pursuing a degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Health Coaching. She is actively involved with the Christian Campus House, where she takes on leadership roles in various ministry initiatives. Ashlyn is passionate about photography, holistic health, and fitness, and she is dedicated to promoting well-being in her community.

  • Collier Berkshire - Program Administrator

    Collier organizes and supports Downtown Ministries programs by overseeing communication, materials, documentation, purchasing, and maintaining accurate data records. He provides high-level administrative support to staff and volunteers, ensuring efficient operations and a well-functioning classroom environment. Additionally, Collier works alongside the executive director to recruit, train, and guide team members, contributing to the success and growth of Downtown Ministries' initiatives.
