What is Jobs for Life?
Established in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 1996, Jobs for Life addresses the root causes of unemployment, underemployment, and disengagement with work by uniting churches, businesses, and community organizations and facilitating positive transformation within lives and communities.
The Jobs for Life national program that Downtown Ministries has implemented provides an opportunity for students to discover their gifts and talents so that they can look at their future and see how a meaningful vocation can add value to their lives.
Jobs for Life Classes
Become employable for the rest of your life. The Jobs for Life class helps men and women develop character, become connected to a community of support, and help them obtain far more than a just a job.
This classes meet in 10-week sessions at the Salvation Army in Goshen. A key component of the classes is mentorship. Having a mentor establishes relationship with is essential to the success of the program. Meals are provided for each class so that the mentor/student relationship can be enhanced.

Teen Classes meet on Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30PM at First Brethren Church, 215 W Clinton St, Goshen. The next class is scheduled to begin Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
Adult Classes meet on Mondays from 5:30-7:30 PM at First Brethren Church, 215 W Clinton St, Goshen. The next class date is scheduled to begin Monday, January 6, 2025.
